If, when booking your appointment, your residence title will remain valid in Germany, at least until the day of the appointment you scheduled online.
This also applies to all conditions stipulated on your residence title, including the regulations pertaining to gainful employment. This means: As long as you fingerprint before your residence permit/visa expires, you can sign or stay in your contract because they give you a letter which works as a temporarily visa "Fiktionsbescheinigung" and allows you to work. Please forward this letter to personnel.

TRAVELLING ABROAD is only possible within the validity of your last residence title! If you have plans to travel you should ask for a temporarily visa for three months providing flight or train tickets. With a temporarily visa “Fiktionsbescheinigung” you are able to travel.
Please be aware that this will only apply, if you attend the booked appointment!
